The importance of solidarity, safety, and humility

Dear reader of Abloom’s newsletter,

We still do not know the long-term consequences of the war in Ukraine for Norway. The crises out there affect us, and we are currently going through a historic test – but together we will get through this! Now we must step up our efforts for the most vulnerable in our society, says Abloom’s leader, Faridah Nabaggala.

— Everyone must do more now than before to combat isolation and strengthen the community.

I thank you for a good month of March, and now we take on April with fresh courage!

Abloom continues to develop within digitalization and online participation for all events and activities.

International Women’s Day – 8 March

There are still many girls and women with disabilities who are not equal in all areas. We pay special attention to all girls and women around the world with disabilities. We see you and we are cheering for you.

Abloom’s activities in spring 2022

Abloom continued its important work during spring 2022, organizing inclusive activities, holiday programmes, and community events. We focused on creating safe meeting places for families with children with disabilities, with a particular emphasis on reaching minority-language communities.

Our riding programme, holiday activities, and community gatherings brought together families from diverse backgrounds, fostering inclusion and belonging. We also strengthened our partnerships with local organizations and public institutions to better serve our community.

Looking ahead

Abloom remains committed to breaking taboos, building bridges, and ensuring that every child and young person with a disability is seen, valued, and heard. Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,
Abloom
