Welcome to the thirteenth Abloom Film Festival, which will run from 14 November to 23 November 2024. Keep in mind that Week 47 is also Awareness Week, a major information campaign to raise awareness about the plight of children and young people living with disabilities.

Light in the Darkness of Myth. “Light in the darkness of myth: Literature
conference 2024″ is Abloom’s initiative to increase knowledge about Norway’s history, art, and culture. This project focuses on the collection, documentation, preservation, and dissemination of materials that reflect the diversity in Norwegian cultural history. In particular, the project will explore the place
and representation of disability within Norwegian culture while aiming to include more voices and strengthen diversity in cultural preservation. Through the literature conference and related activities, the project will contribute to a deeper understanding and broader recognition of diverse perspectives.
“Light in the darkness of myth” is an essential step towards a more inclusive cultural landscape in Norway.

Invitation for community
“Light in the Darkness of Myth” is more than a project; it’s an open invitation for community.
Our target audience ranges from academic circles engaged in cultural history to students
eager to learn, as well as culturally interested individuals fascinated by Norway’s diverse
narratives. We also look towards history enthusiasts who value the depth of the
lessons of the past, as well as minority groups and disability organisations seeking a platform
for their voices. We are weaving a richer picture of our shared cultural heritage with
each unique perspective.
